The Straniero Videos
The Entertainer (video)
I made this TV spot for a Japanese chain of Pachinko parlors called Meiho group. They were filmed in Milan inside of the Teatro Litta. It was a really fun experience!

At the end I say... “We’ll have a fun time!” (In Italian)

Torero at Porta Portese (video)
One of my many nicknames is the “Porta Portese Philharmonic  Orchestra”. Here I am blasting through Rome’s biggest and most famous open air market at full volume early on a Sunday morning,

Bang-a-Gong-Pilsen (video)
When I saw the neon and flashing lights of the rides that they had put up for the Fiesta del Sol in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood, I knew it was the perfect place for me to make a video! As you can see, the effect was rather nice!
Do Nothing-Chicago TV (video)
With images from Chicago’s WGN morning news and WTTW’s “Wild Chicago” here’s some classic video of the Straniero in action. Recorded at the Maxwell St. Market, Fiesta del Sol, the 24th St. Italian Festival and in the TV studio.
Goldfishbowl Eyes (audio)
Goldfishbowl Eyes is a Greasy Pigs song written in 1991 by Tam & me. It’s one of my favorites. This version I recorded for the Pennabilli Artisti in Piazza CD from 2004.
These are only videos and audio of my solo act. For the complete list click here...
  1. Smart Girl (audio)
This is just my first experiment with GarageBand. It’s a song I wrote in 1987 with Jim Abrams in Chicago. I used to do it with Ooooh Sticky & the Greasy Pigs too.
The Straniero Blues (audio)
I figured every good busker aught to have his own theme song, no? Mine’s in Italiano and English. It’s not the best recording in the world, but it was recorded on a very old cassette 4-track in a camper in the woods in Tuscany, so what can you expect?
I play ukulele, Bordellofono, trumpet, Jew’s harp and melodica.

  1. Solletico (RAI1) (video)
At the time, Solletico was Italy’s #1 children’s program. It was total chaos. I had no idea what was going on. They just dressed me as an angel and told me to get out there. An angel and his Stranierofono.
